Homerton University Hospital is currently undergoing a multi-million pound refurbishment of its wards.

ASSA ABLOY were approached by Hunters Architects to provide a turnkey solution that would assist in controlling infection on the Lloyd Ward and Elderly Care Unit.

The solution offered was the manufacture, supply, install and commission of 4no 4-panel SL500 S “Slim” ADS packages with safety pocket screens and additional screen work to close off the bed bay doors to the wards. Combined activation/threshold presence detection sensors were supplied to assist with infection control.

Throughout, meetings and continuous communication with the client and Hunter’s Architect has been vital to the success of the project. This has recently ensured that ASSA ABLOY have been fully specified to supply, install and commission the New Thomas Audley Ward which has 4 large bed bays in September this year.
