The first Megadoor vertical lifting fabric door was developed in 1973 as a kiln door for the forestry industry, where extra-large doors with good insulation were especially needed. Besides offering doors that fulfill the need for size, insulations and rapid opening, in 1977 Megadoor were also able to deliver large doors with different types of door panels. The company quickly expanded into other segments with exceptional access needs, such as aviation, shipyard, mining and waste and recycling.
In 2012 Cardo, the parent company of both Megadoor and Crawford was acquired by ASSA ABLOY Group. Determined to set new standards in customer experience, ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems gather all products, services and people under one brand. For you this means we have gathered the expertise and experience and still offer superior Megadoor vertical-lifting fabric doors as well as industrial doors and loading dock equipment. To complement your Megadoors, we also offer a broad range of automatic pedestrian- and high speed doors as well as service.
