ASSA ABLOY Manual Roller Shutters

Why Manual?

One of the biggest advantages of manual roller shutters is that they can be installed anywhere that has the correct amount of headroom without worrying about power requirements. These doors have a sprung barrel which counterbalances the shutter, allowing it to operate on either system. Push up systems can be manufactured on shutters up to 4m² and hand chain operation is used on shutters up to 30m². This means that ASSA ABLOY can produce a high-quality roller shutter to suit the project requirements, regardless of site location,

Safe Installations

ASSA ABLOY’s manually operated rollers shutters hold a wind class rating of up to Class 5 wind loading in accordance with BSEN 13241-1:2003, BSEN 12424:2000 and BSEN 12444:2001. Offering the highest level of safety, our hand chain roller shutters feature a specialised safety brake that engages in the event of a counterbalancing system failure which subsequently prevents hazardous movement of the roller shutter. Safety features such as this means that our customers can rest assured that their doors conform to the latest health and safety regulations including the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
